There are many reasons why anybody would like to have a small wedding. Having a wedding is a huge stress for any bride and groom small or big but a smaller wedding is less of a stress. Another reason is that a larger wedding has more cost then a smaller wedding and this is another reason why many couples choose to have a small wedding.

If you ask any couple that has had the experience of having a big wedding what they would have changed if they could have and many times the answer will be the size. You should always consider small weddings from time to time. A lot of couples that are planning weddings hope to have it small but do not know how they will be able to do it.

Family pressures can help throw any wedding guest list out of proportion. One of the good ways to avoid this from happening is to plan to have your wedding in a smaller area that can only have a few people. If you are having a smaller wedding you should not have the pressure to go all out and have expensive decorations. Smaller weddings help the bride and the groom be more at ease.

Wedding are based on intimacy and it is easier to accomplish this with a smaller wedding because it is easier for the bride and groom to relax, which is like small weddings. Exchanging vows in front of many guest that you do not know can be harder then doing it in front of a smaller crowed that you know well.

A great way to cut your wedding size down is to have the big day on a day that is not convenient to people. For example you could have your wedding date during the week, by doing this people who are scheduled to work will not be showing up and the people who are very close to you will be there. This is typical of most small weddings. Or you might choose to have your wedding the day before or after a holiday such as Christmas or Thanksgiving and this is when most of the guests will have other plans to attend.
